   How it works

Once we receive your order, you will receive a phone call from one of our representatives to help you setup your site (within 1 business day). The representative is going to ask you the following questions:

What domain name(s) would you like? i.e. www.YourName.com
What do you want your website to look like?
Have you seen a site on the internet that closely resembles how you want your site to look?
Do you have a high resolution photo of yourself or something else you want included in your site?
What kind of colors would you like?
What kind of fonts do you like?

You can also email the answers to these questions to: websites@notary.net

It will usually take less than 24 hours to get your website initially online. This is important because the sooner we get it online, the sooner it will be picked up by the internet search engines.

It will be important to check back on the progress of the design of your site as frequently as possible. Websites can take anywhere from 48 hours to weeks to be completed. It all depends of your timely response.

It will be your responsibility to provide the content or text of your site.

   Reciprocal Links
One of the greatest advantages to purchasing a website through us is our notary network. Every new website will come with built-in reciprocal links. What this means is that all our previous websites will link to your new site. Also, your site will link to all the previous sites. This is advantageous because link ranking is how most search engines rank a website's importance in the world. The more sites that link in to your site, the better your search engine rank is. This equals FREE advertising. We will also place your website on our notary search page.

You can also do your own networking. You can and should submit your site to any website that allows you to do so. It doesn't matter if it is a notary site or not, although notary sites will give you a better quality link rank (less is more). You should submit your site to some or all of the following directories:
01webdirectory.com
AbiLogic
Able Seek
All Top Sites
Arielis
Best of the Web
Big All
Business.com
eZilion
Gimpsy
Go Guides
inCrawler
Joe Ant
Linketeria
Linkopedia
Mavicanet
Microsoft bCentral
Most Popular Sites
Net Insert

Site Snoop
Skaffe
Site Inclusion

Spheri
Stormer
Sun Stream

Another good idea is to use other sites to link to your site by blogging or writing articles:
Blogger.com
Article City
Buzzle.com
Warrior Forum
GoArticles.com
EzineArticles.com

   Content/SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
One of the greatest challenges in creating a website is to make it search engine friendly. The best way to do this is to plan out the text that you will have on your site. You should include keywords and phrases on your home page that you would think people would search for to find you. For example, say you have a mobile notary company in Albany, NY. You would sit down and determine that your bet keywords/phrases would be: New York, notary, Notary Public, NY, mobile notary and Albany. Your home page should look similar to this:

New York Mobile Notary in Albany, NY

I am a mobile notary in the State of New York and I will come to your location any time, night and day, 24/7. I received my notary training through Notary.net and am a member of the New York Mobile Notary Association and the Albany, NY Chamber of Commerece. If you are looking for a mobile notary in New York, I am your notary public on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week...

Do you see how often we got the same keywords in there and it still made sense? The key is to use your words smartly, without sounding ridiculous in the process, after all your potential clients are going to be viewing your website as well as the internet search engines.

If this sounds confusing to you, that is understandable. When you order a custom website with us, we will be able to help you through content optimization.

   Advertising

Every business must advertise, regardless of its size. Have you ever wondered why Coca Cola spends hundreds of millions of dollars to advertise? Don't you think that maybe they have enough name recognition tha they do not have to advertise any more? No, because if they stop advertising, all you will see on TV is Pepsi, Pepsi, Pepsi. You will forget that Coke even existed because you aren't reminded. So what are we trying to say here? Repetition, repetition, repetition.

Although we will be helping you build the link network, you still need to get out on the street and do your own advertising.

You must be professional at all times. We sometimes get phone calls from people that want a flower imprint on their journal or a pink notary seal. Stop for a minute and think about what your clients must think. Image is everything. Professionalism and a friendly personality go a long way in business.

Now, you have your notary commision, seal, black notary journal (not flowers or puppy dogs), a nice business outfit or two, your custom notary website, the business should be pouring in right? Wrong. Every notary must have business cards. Whether they be simple or fancy, this is your best form of advertising. Make sure your website is on your business card. In fact, make sure you put your website on all your marketing materials, whether they be flyers or pens or whatever you make. Now, make sure that everyone you meet gets a business card and sees your enthusiasm. Make eye contact and have a firm hand shake. Now, all this networking is going to make you tired, so how about letting the internet do some work for you as you sleep.

Google Adwords is probably the best pay per click (PPC) network out there. There are a myriad of different ways you can advertise your site through Google. The best part is you can decide what your budget is, so you never pay more than you can afford. A good rule of thumb is that only 1% of all advertising results in a sale. So, if you get $10 per customer, you shouldn't spend more than $0.10 per click. Now if you get $75 per customer, $0.75 per click. You will be able to adjust these settings as you go to make it work the best for your business. For more information follow the link below.
